This book has been a long time coming. It came together slowly — through years of self-study, counselling, scribbled notes, and quiet realisations.
It really started during my Master’s, when I began exploring what authenticity meant to me. I thought I was writing a 15,000-word research piece… but something bigger was unfolding.
The more I uncovered, the more I needed to write. I found myself capturing every lightbulb moment, every time I recognised an old pattern, every little insight that helped me feel more like me.
It was like throwing a thousand jigsaw pieces into the air — and slowly, gently, putting myself back together.
And what I found underneath all the anxiety, the striving, the overthinking… was calm. A quiet, grounded space I never knew was there. A version of me I could finally trust. That was the moment I realised — this is what I’d been searching for all along.
That’s where this book was born. From lived experience. From healing. From a deep need to share what I’ve learned — not as an expert telling you who to be, but as someone who’s walked this path and wants to help you walk yours.
