Therapy & Counselling

Whatever you’re struggling with right now — whether it’s stress, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling a bit lost — I offer a warm, open, and non-judgemental space where you can reflect on your life, your choices, and the changes you want to make.

I have a particular focus on anxiety, high-functioning anxiety, panic, and ADHD — including the emotional intensity, overthinking, and burnout that often come with it. Whether you’ve had a diagnosis or just relate to the experience, therapy can help you make sense of what’s going on beneath the surface.

This is about more than just talking. It’s about building self-awareness, learning how your mind works, and developing tools that work for you.

We’ll work at your pace — no pressure, no judgement — just real conversations to help you feel calmer, more in control, and more connected to who you are.

I offer both face-to-face sessions in Cheadle, Staffordshire, and online sessions via Zoom, so you can choose what feels most comfortable. Whether you prefer the calm of a welcoming therapy room or the privacy of your own space, we’ll work together at your pace.

Hi there, Im Geri.

Thanks for visiting, I’m a BACP registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a passion for helping people rediscover their inner strength and take charge of their lives.

I hold a Master’s Level qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Positive Psychology. I help you to tackle the challenges life throws at you—whether it’s anxiety, stress, low confidence, or unhelpful habits that keep holding you back. I know life isn’t always easy, and sometimes we just need a safe space to figure things out. My work blends therapeutic insight with practical, forward-focused approaches to help you not just heal, but thrive.

How can I help?

Whatever you’re struggling with right now, I offer a warm, open, and non-judgemental space where you can reflect on your life, explore your challenges, and gain clarity on your next steps.

Therapy is built on trust and connection. A strong therapeutic relationship can help you develop greater self-awareness, shift unhelpful patterns, and create meaningful change, so life feels calmer, more balanced, and more fulfilling.

I provide face-to-face sessions in Cheadle, Staffordshire, as well as online therapy via Zoom, offering flexibility to suit your needs. My approach is personalised to you, focusing on what you want to achieve and what feels most helpful in your journey towards healing and growth.

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. During our initial assessment, we’ll discuss your needs and decide on an approach that works best for you. This might involve a set number of sessions to address a specific issue or longer-term therapy for deeper, long-standing challenges.

Feeling anxious, burned out, or overwhelmed?

I’m a qualified Anxiety Specialist with a particular focus on panic, high-functioning anxiety, and burnout. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, constantly on edge, or stuck in exhausting cycles of overthinking and self-doubt.

Whether you’re navigating generalised anxiety, health anxiety, or anxiety rooted in past trauma, I offer personalised, evidence-based support to help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface — and begin to take back control.

Anxiety can show up in so many ways — racing thoughts, physical symptoms, perfectionism, or a constant sense of dread — and often leaves you feeling scared and alone.

Together, we’ll explore what’s driving those feelings and develop tools to reduce anxiety, rebuild confidence, and help you feel more like you again.

Single Session Focused Therapy (SSFT)

Sometimes, one focused conversation is all you need to gain clarity and feel more in control. My Single Session Focused Therapy (SSFT) offers a one-off, 90-minute session designed to help you explore a specific issue without the need for ongoing commitment.

SSFT is a structured, solution-focused approach that allows us to make the most of one meaningful session — giving you space to reflect, feel heard, and walk away with practical next steps.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed by a decision, or want support with something that’s come up unexpectedly, this session offers time to pause and reset in a safe, supportive space.

Single Session Focused Therapy is helpful for:
✓ Gaining clarity around a specific situation or decision
✓ Exploring anxious thoughts or emotional overwhelm
✓ Working through a recent challenge, conflict, or trigger
✓ Breaking the cycle of overthinking or people-pleasing
✓ A reset when you’re not ready for regular therapy

There’s no pressure for ongoing sessions — but if you decide you’d like further support, we can talk about what that might look like.

Helping you manage Anxiety

Therapy

Anxiety—whether general, social, or health-related—can be overwhelming and exhausting. It affects how you think, feel, and navigate daily life. And while anxiety is common, everyone experiences it differently, which is why my approach is always tailored to you.

I combine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with clear, practical explanations to help you understand why anxiety shows up the way it does for you. If needed, we can go deeper —identifying unhelpful thought patterns, making connections, and exploring the root causes of your anxiety.

This isn’t just about mindfulness or surface-level techniques. We work on real, effective strategies to ease symptoms, break the cycle of anxious thoughts, and help you regain a sense of control. By the end of our work together, you’ll move forward with greater self-awareness and a personalised toolkit to manage anxiety in a way that works for you.
